Daniel Gutierrez has been dancing for five years since the young age of 13. He started out as a popper first teaching himself then under his first teacher Sammy Ramirez. Not long after his first year of training, Daniel started doing choreography and has since been training in both popping and choreography. He has been fortunate to dance on teams like: Academy of Villains, Hungry Bumz, and most recently co-directs The Gooniez. He has performed and taught at many events and studios all around the bay area. As Daniel continues his training, he looks forward to growing as a Dancer, a Teacher, and an Entertainer while sharing his love and knowledge of dance with others.

Gerick Catimbang has been dancing for five years since his sophomore year in high school where he met his very first teacher Bibi Khalili through his high school’s hip hop team. And since his graduation, Gerick assists Bibi with the high school team. Gerick has had the pleasure of training under people like Bibi Khalili, Sammy Ramirez, Chirstopher ‘Pharside’ Jennings, and Melvin Jansen Ang (Team Vibe Pilipinas). He currently is one of the artistic directors of The Gooniez. As Gerick continues dancing he hopes to work more behind the scenes, planning and organizing big events like DAMSF or Carnival.

The All Ages Edition, Co-Produced by the Dopest Outsiders (a Character Development Performing Arts Youth Program), is open to guests and performers of ANY ages alongside the same club amenities which appeal to our 18+ crowd.

Showcasing both emerging and professional talent, DAMSF is a unique event comprised of live performances and networking in a high-energy, club environment. Whether it’s to network with other industry professionals, support the arts, or get inspired by our performances and vendors, DAMSF has something to offer all.

DAMSF is hosted at the DNA Lounge, in the heart of the SOMA District. The DNA Lounge creates a transformative experience with color and urban-inspired interior embellishments. Our vendors include fashion designers, painters, musicians, and media. In between our performance showcases, our DJ will play Top 40 and throwback hits. Vendors and performers line the walls to showcase and sell their artwork throughout the night.

Past Performers include artists that have been on “America’s Best Dance Crew,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,“ “America’s Got Talent,” and more. Performers range from spoken word champions to dance choreographers, live musicians to clothing designers. Two classes will be taught by our very own team captain, Christopher “CC” Celestino, and our artistic director, Julio Morales. Since 3, Ellona Santiago started to sing and dance, she comes from a family of musical entertainers. She is a graduate from Barbizon Modeling School. Has performed at IPAAC Convention (International Performing Arts Academy) and placed 2nd Best in Talent in December 2006. At 10, she became the youngest cast member of the musical-comedy called “Amerikana”. She is a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church Choir in San Leandro, CA. She currently attends Arroyo High School as a sophomore. She is taking up the Health and Science pathway as her preparation for College.

Her dream of becoming an international entertainer also dreams of becoming a doctor someday. She excels in school and has a 4.0 GPA. Now at 15, she has already acclaimed fame from the Simon Cowell’s Fox Network hit

Christopher “CC” Celestino, born and raised in San Diego, began dancing in 2006 as a freshman in high school with University City All-Male. Following his first year dancing with UCAM, he then proceeded to join iDK (indecisive Dance Krew) in the mid of 2007. From then on until 2010, he would continue dancing with both teams where he would take the roles as captain of his all-male and principle member of iDK. Wanting to continue his dancing beyond the high school level, CC, auditioned for Super Galactic Beat Manipulators (SGBM) and was blessed with having the opportunity to dance and train with them for the summer of 2010 until he left for San Francisco. Upon arriving in San Francisco, CC auditioned for the Funkanometry SF Dance Company, where he would find his place in Funks SF where he continues to mature and improve his dancing today.

Ysabelle started her professional dance career at the age of 8 with the Golden State Warriors Jr Jam Squad. At 9 she signed a contract with one of the biggest dance agencies in Los Angeles, Bloc Talent. Since then she has gone on to work under some of the top choreographers in the dance industry such as Brian Friedman, HiHat, Showtyme, Kevin Maher, Tony Czar and many more.

She’s appeared in shows on the PBS Channel, Just Dance Kids for the Nintendo Wii, Willow Smith Whip My Hair music video, Ellen Degeneres Show and most recently the BET Awards with Kevin Hart and the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards with Will Smith. She is one of the founding members of Urban Empire and has her own line of apparel under their label called DIBZ (Do It Bigz).

Just under a year ago she began teaching hip hop dance classes and has already taught in all the top hip hop studios in the bay, Boogiezone Los Angeles and in Sydney Australia. Although she is a familiar face in all the local dance studios, she may be most known on Youtube where she is approaching her 10 millionth video hit and is know at Lil BIGZ.

Michelle Nakayoshi is a dancer born and raised in San Francisco, she took her first dance class at around age 2 or 3 at a local studio called Sunset Academy of Dance, mostly doing tap, jazz, and acrobatics. At around age 8 Michelle began hip hop with Darnell Carroll and Mario Ponce. After taking hip hop for just one year she joined the Hip Hop competition team. After training with Darnell and Mario at a studio Michelle branched out and joined Darnell’s team FBC (funk beyond control) This is when Michelle realized hip hop was her true passion. In the summer of 2010 Michelle joined the team Mighty Minions (now known as YSC) Directed by Krystal Meraz and Kayce Viray at House of Mayhem. Michelle wanted to do more in the dance community and started taking many classes including teaching a few. Michelle trains hard and hopes to one day work in the industry as a professional dancer. She thanks all of her teachers for getting her to where she is today.

Kehlani Parrish is a 17 year old junior living in Berkeley, California. Since she was very young, she has been acting, singing, dancing and all around performing. She was recently in a band on the hit television talent show, America’s Got Talent, where her band came in 4th place. She has performed all across the country, gaining professional experience. Having performed/worked with people such as Dwayne Wiggins, Rapheal Saadiq, Stevie Wonder, Jamie Foxx, and many more, Kehlani is on the road to success. Now an unsigned solo artist, she is continuing her journey to the top!

Spoken Word Artist, Host, Community Activist, poetical trendsetter & architect nerCity’s (Pronounced “Inner City) name might not be well known as his “Heavyweight” poetical peers but if you ask them many will tell you that he’s one of the most underrated and overachieving poets you’ll ever meet. Some say “He’s your favorite poet’s poet” and that not enough people have witnessed the power he brings to shows.

For 10 years nerCity has been trailblazing spoken word scenes sharing what he calls his “4 B’s” which are “Brash, Brutal honesty but Beautiful” with audiences from all across the country.

National poetry slam awards and final stage appearances, shared stages. Numerous national television & radio appearances sharing stages as a poet and/or host with the likes of John Legend, Common, Mos Def, Talib and many other recording powerhouses and icons at showcases such as the Essence Festival (New Orleans), Los Angeles Film Festival, NBA All Star Game and Apollo Theater. Though ‘City’ never performed on HBO’s “Def Poetry” he did receive a standing ovation at an autograph signing for Russell Simmons & to open up for his Broadway play.

But it’s more than just poetry with nerCity. He’s also Founded, Co-Founded or financially helped keep afloat spoken word venues around the Bay Area. He’s the host & Founder of the Golden State Slam & Open Mic one of the most innovative spoken word venue in the country which also helps give back to the community with programs like “Santa Claus is Coming to Da Town” & “The Gathering” .
