Funk4Soul Dance Company is looking for new members for several upcoming shows. We are looking for all styles of dancers. Funk4Soul specializes in Hip Hop and Contemporary Fusion dance. All dancers are invited as well as all backgrounds are welcomed and embraced. Upcoming Shows include a November jazz show in which we will be choreographing pieces to the extraordinary genius of Ella Fitzgerald and Chet Baker. As well as an evening length performance premiering in February 2011.
Be ready to dance. If you are able please bring a dancer resume or personal statement. Dancers will learn two sets of choreography, one hip hop and the other a contemporary fusion.
Funk4Soul is a small collective eager and willing to sustain and advance the creative processes that drive dance communities across the Bay Area, and strive to enhance and expand our membership, styles and commitments towards the multitude of methods with which dance shapes and informs political consciousness. Funk4Soul’s dream is to create works of illuminating beauty and provide individuals the opportunity to experience the depth of expression that is possible through dance.
